Here is how to connect a camping stove to a big 20 pound tank of propane. If you are car camping or tailgating, and you want to cook things on a small camp stove, but you don’t want to use the little tiny bottles of propane, you can buy a propane hose from Coleman which you can use to connect your big 20 pound barbecue size propane tank to a small Coleman camping stove. This adapter works with other stoves as well, so that when you go camping, if you don’t mind carrying the extra weight, you can bring a 20 pound tank of propane and it will last all week. This video shows you how to use a Coleman propane hose adapter to connect a camping stove to a large propane tank.

Marcial Ramos says:

HANK! Hank Hill, is that you!?

John Schoenfeld says:

And incidently you have to have the colman brand adapter hose or it won't work. I'm not the only one who tried using a different brand then Coleman and ended up not working. I got one Walmart sold and recommended for the Mr Heater vent free heater. I'm guessing there's a clearance difference in the two.

Sam Neal says:

He bought it at Kmart? What's that

Firas Hanna says:

Thanks man I got your advice I got the hook up everything is working fine thank you again

>>>ur2.pl/1095 Great grill for the money….had my first Coleman Road Trip grill for about 15 years….this only is easier to set up then the old one….folds up and fits in one of the storage compartments in our motorhome…

Does someone know if standart camping stove regulator is enough for large tank?
or I need to buy separate regulator for large tank?
I can't find this on internet..
on this video it works, but I just want to make sure its safe

John Spurlock says:

Okay this is a very complicated situation all the manufacturer says that each stove has its own threats and that you can't change that they say you cannot put a different regulator on that stove so are you talking about just hooking a hose to the regulator are you talking about going completely around the little regulator that comes out of the side of the stove I bought a stove a month ago the threads are stripped out where you screw the small green bottle tank in I have some ideas of my own like dipping the tank in crazy glue and then screwing it in but then you're stuck with that bottle and it's only going to last about a week. I've asked all the manufacturers can I change the regulator can I put a different attachment on they say no each one has its own unique threats

TwistedMindsTeam says:

The question is actually very important I'm building a hot dog stand

TwistedMindsTeam says:

Okay but which stove is that my needs two separate tanks one for each burner and I'd imagine it gets complicated when trying to light one using a single tank

norm lor says:

maybe YOU can help me , I have this exact hose and have an adapter for connecting one end to my 3 legged transfer stand for my backpacking mini stove to run off propane. I could connect it right to thai 1lb tank but the other end needs to connect to my 1 lb can. I know I can hook it right to my 20lb Tank but I think WAY too much pressure for my 45g stove, can you suggest any connector which has 2 female ends 3/4" ??

Monica N.Y says:

Thank you so much for the video can you please tell me how long can I have the stove on

Droffats_views says:

Is there a way to do this without that pressure regulator or a smaller version of that angular piece

Ryan Morwick says:

Thanks Hank

Joe Valley says:

Your stove is identical to mine…I’m looking high and low for a replacement attachment hose, and yours looks great. Where did you get that? And what kind of stove is this?

xds9mm says:

K-mart???

Brian Pshyk says:

This will only work for a little time and you will go through regulators like underwear!

Gavin Collins says:

thanks hank hill from king of the hill.
