I grew up up north and I can't think of a single person that would consume snow for hydration unless they were already down and out. Snow makes you colder and the body uses more energy to consume snow than water therefor a small amount of snow in a pinch maybe, but never as anything but a last resort.

So wrong about this TOP 10 survival skills video. Knowing so little about survival could mislead someone to death. A person won't survival 3 minutes without oxygen/breathing, 3 hours without proper body heat regulation (shelter/clothing), 3 days without drinkable water and 3 weeks without food. So, finding proper shelter (from the harms of the sun/wind/rain/insect and predator), drinkable water (even sea water can be distilled by collecting steam with cloths) and starting a fire first will keep you alive at least 3 days. Then, there would be enough time to find food. By the way, juice inside barrel cactus is not drinkable. If not knowing enough about plants, rather eat water lives and small animals (except poisonous frogs) for food. 6 basic survival skills includes: Finding and building shelters, finding and treating waters, building fires, setting up traps for animals and fishes, basic first aid knowledge and signaling for help (1 rule to remember: as simple and as effortless as possible). As far as signaling for help. It could be easily done by flashing reflection of sunlight (three shorts, two longs and three shorts for S.O.S.) with the bottom of a soda can (or starting a fire), leaving S.O.S. marking with rocks, flag signals etc… (much easier/faster than starting/maintaining a fire plus managing the smoke with a blanket). Furthermore, learning how to make a rope before learning how to tie a knot (you need a rope to tie a knot, genius) is more practical. And finally, avoiding life threatening insect/mosquito bites are far more important than cleaning teeth. I just wonder, ‘how soon would a person die without brushing?’. I think cleaning my butt and taking a bath are far more important. It was not easy to find a safe place (water sources are gathering ground of predators) for bathing when I was in Africa for a full year… L.O.L…

# 2, Caring about one`s teeth is the last thing to think about in a survival situation. Death doesn`t care, how ur teeth are.
