First of all, if you go into the woods you take a backpack with you.If you go by car and your car strikes, just use a satellite phone. This makes no sense. So I take:

1. A brain
2. A second brain for the guys in the video
3. A map to prevent from going into the woods
4. A satellite phone
5. A brain

I did the weeklong no item challenge, lol. Pretty fun. Debris shelter with birch bark slabs for rain protection, firestarting with hand drill(mullein stalk and white pine fireboard), hunting with a rabbit stick and spear with flint knapped spearhead. Foraging as well. Was pretty fun. I've done a couple years worth of survival schools, with an emphasis on making it with no gear.

I like the variety

Bill Randall says:

hammock with rain fly and bug netting. if it's hot weather. If it's not, then a sleeping bag with a built in bivvy, inflatable, insulated sleeping pad, , sawyer filter with backflush, bag, brush, and a large Bic lighter. Crunch multitool with silky saw blade to be held in the visegrip of the crunch.

Ants C says:

I don't know what its like in Freedom Land but I can spend 72 hours here in Australia with way less than what these guys bought.

A guy from my town spent over 60 days in the outback with nothing but a knife and a tent.

Nicky B says:

72 hours… you’re most likely to die from exposure. Keeping warm and hydrated is really all you have to worry about (and being rescued).

John Doe says:

Lots of bamboo in USA!
