Nice balance of heavy weight to chop through small trees … I use this machete to lay out and cut mountain bike trails in thick Fla scrub oak, pine, roots and palmettos. Nice balance of heavy weight to chop through small trees yet light enough to swing all day through lighter stuff. I have nearly 100 hours cutting and maintaining many miles of trails on this blade without any issues. Comes very sharp, easy to sharpen and holds an edge, no chips or damage to the steel in my experience. Rigid sheath is nice too for carrying in backpack. Has a nice…

Camp 18 exceeded expectations. I own many machetes, from Cold Steel, CRKT, Kershaw and Ontario KC. This is one of the most solid blades I have. Blade thickness and shape allow for ease in chopping very large limbs and small trees. Handle shape and grip are excellent for heavy chopping without gloves. I own 3 Camp 14’s and find them equally solid, but their blade shape and size produce a different effective cutting ability. Was happy with the 14’s and their construction. … the past but I have never had one this good. It is outstanding I have owned a few similar knives in the past but I have never had one this good. It is outstanding. The weight is perfect and the grip dampens the blow. The knife is also scary sharp so be aware. They also offer life time re-sharpening if you send it back to them.
