is easily sharpened, and the grip is secure I purchased this knife for field-dressing whitetail deer. While its a ‘full-tang’ knife, the blade seems a little thin (ie: 1/8″ on the back of the blade) for a big-game hunting knife. Most heavy-duty hunting knives have a blade that’s 3/16″ thick on the back and have a little ‘heavier’ feel. On a positive note, this knife is light, is easily sharpened, and the grip is secure.
